Android, LG and Samsung are having a dream run. LG’s Android phone LG Optimus One has sold 2 million devices already and still counting. An album entirely recorded in iPad is released. Google Instant on search comes to all devices in all countries. Android 3, makes an appearance on a Motorola tablet.

2 million LG Optimus One’s sold and counting!

LG Optimus One, has sold 2 million units already. North America has been LG’s biggest market with 1.3 million sold in the continent. 50,000 units were sold in Asia. Optimus One is released in India only recently and when compared with other Android phones, Optimus One promises to be a value for money phone. Latest price on Flipkart : Rs. 12799.

iPad album

Gorillaz has made, what could be the first music album made using iPad. The entire album is recorded in iPad and will be given to audience for free. As per Fast Company, this might not be a first iPad album as there is at least one person who has attempted this. There are first iPad street musicians too. I wonder what Steve Jobs got to say about this. Did he knew that people will be using iPad for playing street music?

Google Instant

I got one question. What took them so long? Google has rolled out their Google Instant to web first. That too for few regions. There has been a staggered released and I lost track of where it was and when. Now it is rolled to the entire world and will work on all devices. Google Instant is a suggestion engine based on the queries which were already searched. If anyone wants to be frugal about the keystrokes they type then it would be the mobile users. In that case, wouldn’t it be prudent to roll this out to mobile users on Android, iPhones and Blacberry’s?

New Android market

Google will be rolling out their revamped Android market place to all devices which are running 1.6 or newer OS. Several changes are going to hit the user interface. New section of featured apps will be pushed to home screen, widgets and wallpapers will get their own section and review window for a paid app is brought down from 24 hours to 15 minutes. That’s minutes not hours.Unfortunate but true. That means you just have to be careful with your purchase. Have 14.5 minutes handy before you buy that glossy app, try it and return it – if you don’t like it of course. The limit on the gaming files (.apk) has increased to 50MB to support richer memory consuming games.

Android 3.0 on Motorola Tablet

Notion Ink couldn’t wait for the 3.0 release of Android so they made their own arrangements. But there are lot of tablets who chose to wait for the Honeycomb. Motorola is one of them. Motorola’s tablet which is running Andriod 3.0 is spotted out in the wild by the tech blogs. This is a two-way buzz. One for Android 3.0 and one for Motorola tablet. It’s hard to decide which one is bigger though.

I think Motorola tablet will be releasing a 7-inch and 10-inch tablet with 32 GB storage and NVidia Tegra 2 T20 dual-core processor. A dual-camera (5 megapixel in the back and 2 megapixel in the front), HDMI out port and a 1280×800 resolution make this Motorola Tablet a must-wait.
