After a series of leaks and rumors, HMD Global, the new owners of the Nokia were all set to launch their new series of android powered phones – Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 phones in India today, but just a few hours before, Amazon made a huge mistake, and Nokia 6 got an accidental listing on the Amazon India page and it was made live.
Nokia 6 is the top end variant among the three phones, and listing of the device was spotted by a Twitter user.
Though Amazon India soon realised their mistake, and the listing was immediately removed, the pricing details and the list of specifications were revealed.
Nokia 6 Price on Amazon
The top end variant, the Nokia 6 has been priced at Rs 14,999 in India and the device will be an Amazon Exclusive product. Though HMD Global earlier revealed that will sell Nokia phones via brick and mortar retail outlets and Nokia phones will not be restricted only to only e-commerce platforms.
Offline Availability
Though the price is out on Amazon, offline prices may differ. Looking at the popularity Nokia hold in the Indian market, especially the Tier II and the Tier III cities, among online and offline availability, the latter will a more feasible option for HMD Global to sell more phones and penetrate deep into the market.
While Nokia 6 will be Amazon exclusive and will be available only online, the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will be available in offline retail stores too.
Amazon Flash Sale for Nokia Phones
All the Nokia phones will be up for a Flash Sale and the registrations for the Flash Sale will start on 14th June. Though no official date has been announced for the sale of the Nokia phones on Amazon.
Cheaper Price Compared to Global Price
The Nokia 6 accidental listing revealed the official price of the device i.e Rs. 14,999. The global price for the device in INR counts to around Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 17,000, but their pricing for the Indian units came as a big surprise.
Exclusive Rs. 1000 Cashback for Amazon Prime Members (Plus, Added Benefits)
The Amazon Prime members will get an exclusive Rs 1,000 additional cash back if you buy Nokia 6 via Amazon. Additionally, the Nokia 6 buyers with the Kindle app will get extra discounts up to 80 per cent with a maximum of Rs 300 off on the book purchases on Kindle.
Price of other Nokia Phones (Nokia 3 and Nokia 5)
Due the accidental listing, only the official price of Nokia 6 got revealed. No official price of Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 has been out till now (though Nokia launch event is live now), the Nokia 3 is being expected to stay in the entry level segment of smartphones and will compete with Xiaomi Redmi 4A and Nokia 5 will cost around Rs 10,000 in India. Looking at the lower pricing of Nokia 6, the prices of the other two (Nokia 3 and Nokia 5) is being expected at a lower margin compared to the global price.
