HTC in India after a while launched two new devices. On Tuesday HTC launched there latest flagship devices in India. HTC U Ultra will be priced at Rs 59,990 and will be made available from March 6. The smartphone will be made available in Blue, Pink, Black and White colour. Alongside HTC also launched its U Play which is priced at Rs 39,990. The availability of this device is from mid-March in Blue, Black, Pink and White colour.
HTC U Ultra and U-Play have the biggest highlight of Sense Companion feature, it is an AI-based system that learns and understands the user’s daily usage pattern and provides friendly advice. On U Ultra all the important updates will be displayed on a small second display. This second display is not new to users it has been already seen before on LG smartphone. The device also comes with something which HTC calls as HTC USonic earphones, which is again a smart system which analyses the shape of user’s inner ear and adapts to the setting. Also, the smartphone comes with a liquid surface finish.
The HTC U Ultra is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset with 4GB RAM. The device sports a 5.7-inch QHD Super LCD display and a secondary display with 1040*160 pixel which sits right above the main display. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with sense UI on top. The U Ultra has been launched in 64GB inbuilt storage variant which can be expandable up to 2TB. Although the screen protection of both the storage variant of the device is different. The 64GB variant comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 128GB variant comes with Sapphire Glass.
HTC has always been knowing for there optics and image quality the U Ultra comes with a 12-UltraPixel rear camera with 1.55-micron pixels, a BSI sensor, laser + phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilisation, a f/2.8 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. The smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel front camera which has modes like Ultrapixel mode and a BSI sensor. The HTC U Ultra supports 4G LTE with all connectivity options and a USB 3.1 Type-C.
The HTC U Ultra also bears a fingerprint sensor on the front which is also Home Button, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio support, as well as 3D Audio recording support. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and can delivery 26 hours of talk-time and up to 13 days of standby time.
The HTC U Play comes with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant in India. The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC. Its 16-megapixel rear camera comes with a BSI sensor, optical image stabilisation, PDAF, a f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. The front camera sports a 16-megapixel sensor with an UltraPixel mode, a BSI sensor, a f/2.0 aperture with a 28mm focal length.
The U Play’s inbuilt storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 2TB). HTC U Play connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, DLNA, Miracast, powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. It’s rated to deliver up to 26 hours of talk-time and up to 13 days of standby time. The U Play’s inbuilt storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 2TB).
