Beetel has launched its new tablet Beetel Magiq Glide for Rs. 11999. Beetel Magiq Glide sports a 7-inch capacitive touch screen and a 1 GHz processor. From what I could glean, Beetel Magiq Glide is a better version of Beetel Magiq.
Beetel had an explosive entry into the tablet market when it launched Beetel Magiq for Rs. 8999. Beetel Magiq’s launch preceded Reliance 3G Tab’s launch. Later Beetel has downgraded the specs on Magiq and launched Beetel Magiq 2.
Beetel Magiq Glide comes with 1 GHz processor, 7 inch WVGA capacitive touch screen, 3G, WiFi, and 8GB internal memory which can be expandable to 16 GB. There 2 MP rear camera and a front-facing camera. It’s not clear if the front-facing camera is 2MP too (Beetel Magiq had a VGA camera in the front).
Beetel Magiq Glide comes with Android 2.2. And you all know that this is a bummer as the world have moved on to Android 2.3 and more recently to Android 4.0.
With Beetel Magiq Glide, Beetel got the pricing right. It is nicely placed between Beetel Magiq at Rs. 8999 and Reliance 3G Tab at Rs. 12999.
Would Beetel Magiq Glide make a dent in the Indian tablet market?
