Microsoft’s love for Android has just grown five fold. Microsoft is hoping, make that praying, deep inside their offices that Android would be a massive hit and may god bless HTC and Motorola. Microsoft has ‘convinced’ two more Android phone manufacturers to sign royalty sharing agreements. Velocity Micro and General Dynamics (sells under Itronix brand).
Microsoft has a cozy set up with Velocity Micro and Itronix, like it did with HTC. Microsoft has earlier signed an agreement with HTC to receive $5 for every HTC Android phone sold.
Velocity Micro has three tablets in its product line and it has released 7-inch Velocity Micro Cruz tablet for $300. Itronix brand has wearable GD300 which is a rugged computer with amazing GPS awareness and is Android powered.
Where are we with Mango, Microsoft’s next OS version?
Did you say Mango? Forget Mango, we got some patent agreements to sign here. Motorola huddle up. You’re up next. Not so fast Barnes and Noble. You need to wait your turn. No fighting tonight. No fighting.
