How do you test a Tsunami alerter app?

Indian Ocean Tsunami Alerter app alerts the users about a potential Tsunami or other events in Indian ocean. The app is useful for countries bordering on Indian Ocean. SpaceNext has developed the app and the app is useful for the following countries :

India,Australia,Bangladesh,Burma,Djibouti,Egypt,Eritrea, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Pakistan, Madagascar, Maldives, Maurtius, Malaysia, Mozambique, New Zealand, Somalia, Seychelles, Tanzania and Yemen

The app gives an alert with siren sound depending upon the category of the alert. The app uses the alerts from PTWC Tsunami warnings. From the website there are no Tsunami messages for the past 30 days.

Tsunami Alerter is a novel app to update about a potential Tsunami. As for the testing of the app, it is better we don’t and trust that the app works as it should. Best thing to hope for is, the app never rings the siren.
