We are all too familiar with the Facebook phone and the dedicated Facebook button on two HTC phones – HTC Salsa and HTC ChaCha. Those phones have a hardware button which take you directly to the facebook application. Google+ which has launched its social network on both the web and on Android devices will be doing a facebook phone for its Nexus 3.
Google Nexus is the series of phones Google produces by partnering with manufacturers like Samsung. It has so far partnered with HTC and Samsung. The next partner for Google Nexus 3 is not decided, but it might have a G+ button. These are still early days yet. Unlike iPhone though, Google phone’s rumors are few and far in between.
However much we like the all-screen Nokia N9’s, having only one click to go to your favorite app is always welcome. Especially if that is the app you spend most of your time with. I wouldn’t mind an ugly button on the phone which will take me straight to the app. Google+ is already gaining traction and as per rumors it now has 4.5 million users. Remember the service is still invitation only and is not open to public. Which means growing number of users will be addicted to Google+, its app and probably a phone too.
I hear ya, Angry Birds phone is a good idea too. After all we can’t wait to scare the bejesus out of those pigs.
