Things are finally getting in order for the Android world. Google has mandated a 18-month period during which manufacturers will be rolling out the software updates. HTC is the first one to chip in. Two of its models in India received Android 2.3 Gingerbread update.
HTC Incredible S and HTC Desire HD will be getting Android 2.3 updates. Motorola Defy will get a Android 2.2 Froyo update.
For the iPhone folks out there, the playing field has leveled. The fragmentation argument is falling flat and Android is catching up. If you want to convert, the time is now.
