Yesterday, there was a big confusion among many regarding the two Smartphone launches which were about to take place in parallel in the capital city in India. Yes, I’m talking about the Zenfone 2 and Xiaomi Mi4i’s launch events.
Xiaomi held an international launch event in India, New Delhi to launch the company’s new Smartphone Mi4i which is a little brother of Mi4. Also, ASUS launched the much talked about Zenfone 2 in India which was internationally launched at MWC 2015. Zenfone 2 comes in 4 variants starting from Rs. 12,999 and Mi4i also comes with a price tag of Rs. 12,999 in India.
Now many Smartphone buyers are in a dilemma as to which one should they buy either of the two. While we have not done an hands-on review as of now, we bring you the specification comparison that may help you in making the decision. Here it is.
Xiaomi Mi 4i Vs Asus Zenfone 2 Specifications comparison
Price
Pricing is the thing which is very correctly done in both the devices. As I have mentioned above that Zenfone 2 comes in 4 different models. The cheapest one with 2GB RAM is worth Rs. 12.999. However, the Mi4i is also launched with the same price tag making the competition tougher for Asus. Since, Xiaomi has already covered a lot of Indian market, Asus could find it a bit hard to manage the space. Same goes for Xiaomi because for some it is still a Chinese manufacturer. What you think regarding this?
Processor
Xiaomi’s Mi4i is powered with second-generation 1.7GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core (1.1GHz quad-core + 1.7GHz quad-core) 64-bit processor which seems to be very impressive at the price. On the other hand Zenfone 2 comes with 1.8GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core SoC which is again from Intel like last previous generation of the Zenfone series. Snapdragon is already a well known processor for many, while many still doubt trusting the Intel processor because of less popularity. Still, Intel’s processor in last generation devices have really performed well and shook the roots of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note with Zenfone 5. So, let’s see further how these devices perform in real.
Display
Xiaomi’s Mi 4i comes with a 5 inch HD display with a pixel density of 441 ppi. However, Zenfone 2 comes with a 5.5 inch HD display with a pixel density of 267 ppi. Both the smart phones have the Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front. However, Mi 4i has a smaller display which makes the pixel density more. Still, an in-hand comparison will make the points more clear.
Camera
As far as the camera number on paper is concerned both the devices comes with 13 megapixel primary shooter with a 5 megapixel snapper on the front. Mi 4i comes with a dual tone LED flash while Zenfone 2 comes with a single one. However, Asus has played a good game by introducing Zenflash and Lolliflash to enhance the camera on the device. Zenflash gives you the ability to click DSLR quality images while Lolliflash gives you better selfies.
Battery
Asus has heard us loud! This time Zenfone 2 comes with a 3000 mAh battery while MI 4i comes with a 3120 mAh battery which is really great! Also, both the devices do support fast charging which is actually very nice thing to have on a Rs. 13,000 Smartphone. And as far as battery life goes, given that Mi 4i has smaller screen and marginally more rating, it is expected to give higher life!
