People love weird apps for a reason – because they’re fun, great pastime and really don’t
make a point! But just like all of us love a wisecrack poor joke once in a while, there are
a few weird and fun apps you’ll love storing on your iPhone, iPad, iTouch or any other
Smartphone devices. Check them out:
Rimshot & Crickets
Haven’t you always wished that there was some sort of theatrical effect in the background when you made a joke in front of your friends? Well, your wish can come true with this weird but superbly funny free app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Play the group laughing sound that is used in comedies on TV to accompany a funny situation, a slow clap to convey something sarcastic or the sound of a balloon deflating when you’ve just been a part of a fiasco. Doesn’t this weird app sound like super fun? (iTunes)
Akinator Lite
In real life, we always expect people to understand what’s going on in our minds, right? Then why not start off with Akinator Lite, a paid Android App that can supposedly read your mind? Regular users of this app claim that it hardly ever makes a mistake in guessing what you’re thinking. This app will play a ’20 questions’ game with you and will attempt to figure out your thoughts. If you’re a little skeptical about this clairvoyant little app and want to first try the limited version, you’ll be permitted to start off with 5 guesses. (Android)
Have 2P Restroom locator
After telling you about 2 weird and pointless apps, check out this weird app which is fairly useful. If you’re driving in an unknown locality or are in the middle of a road trip, but don’t know where to use the loo, this app will be perfect. It will map out the nearest restroom for you. And guess what, you can also rate the restroom. Cleanliness freaks who are iffy about using public restrooms will find this feature of this app for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad particularly blissful. (Android |iTunes )
Sonar
While this app may sound weird prima facie, it can prove to be really useful. If you use social media for business, it’s pretty obvious that everyone in your friend list is not someone who you may know personally. In such scenarios, wouldn’t it be great to know who’s physically roaming around you in a conference room, a public party or a meeting? While you could use this opportunity to shake hands with them, you could even excuse yourself out of that space if you’re not interested in meeting them. The only limitation of this iPhone app is that other people in the room need to be logged in Facebook and FourSquare for your phone to be able to detect them. (iTunes)
Jello Bounce
If you’re a fan of Bill Cosby and his tongue in cheek humor, this weird and extremely hilarious app is made for you. Imagine a bobbling caricature of Bill Cosby’s head on a pool of Jello dishing out one funny line after the other. And that too when you shake your phone! This Android based app can get even funnier if you buy the paid version and change skins in it. Never have a dull moment even again in your life. (Android)
It’s amazing how these weird yet fun apps can be big time wasters yet very interesting.
There is a huge list of weird and fun apps that we can add to this list, but again that would be a waste of time, isn’t it?
