PermissionDog is the ZoneAlarm for Android phones

PermissionDog is a free Android app which will audit your phone for all the installed apps and their permissions. PermissionDog provides little icons – red, yellow and green for all the installed apps telling you how intrusive those apps are. Some apps might have to be all that intrusive and some apps don’t have to be all that intrusive.

For example Angry Birds doesn’t need your GPS location. Of course PermissionDog doesn’t tell you that about Angry Birds but would probably set a yellow icon next to it. The app provides a permission rating and a danger rating.

To know about an app’s threat, launch the app and access PermissionDog notification in the status bar. Real Time Protection can be enabled to know the apps permission settings in real time. You can also choose to opt an app out of RTP if it gets annoying.

PermissionDog is a must-have app for all Android phones.
