In addition to Siri, Android users has one more thing to envy about iPhone users – iCloud. It’s the new service which seamlessly integrates services like photos, contacts, email and music across all the iDevices. iCloud is cloud done right.
Something similar to iCloud doesn’t exist for Android. There are bits and pieces options for Android to replicate this with services like Dropbox and SoundCloud, but there is no fully integrated way of doing it.
Connecting all the clouds
Jolicloud will be connecting all the clouds together. Your images, notes, music, magazines and video, all of them can be accessed from a single stop called Jolicloud.
Picasa, Flicr, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and other services together can be accessed from Jolicloud. Dropbox, Google Docs, Instapaper, Tumblr and Evernote will be added in the near future.
Jolicloud is filling this gap for Android devices and it also plans to be on iOS. On iOS, Jolicloud has a tough challenge because it already knows what it’s competing against. As for Android, Jolicloud might have it easy as there is no competing service yet.
Jolicloud for mobile is in Beta. If you want a taste of Jolicloud you can check out their Chrome plugin.
