Samsung which has occupied a prominent second position in overall mobile phone shipments has come out with a proud achievement. Its new Samsung Galaxy S2’s has outshipped iPhone 4’s in South Korea. Samsung has shipped more than a million Galaxy S2’s in 30 days. This beats the iPhone 4 record for the country.
If we follow the report carefully, the shipments are immediately converted to sales in the following sentence. Theoretically that isn’t how it works. But for all practical purposes, we can safely assume that all the Galaxy S2’s shipped are sold. Just like we trust the iPhone 4’s to be sold.
Great software needs great hardware and that is what Samsung has always provided with its Galaxy series. Just like what Apple has done with iPhone series. Samsung Galaxy S2 is on its way to become one of the popular phones and a real iPhone 4 challenger. From next time onwards, I would like to see Samsung or HTC launch their iPhone beaters within a month after Apple launches its next iPhone. When iPhone5 is launched can we expect Samsung Galaxy 3?
