Nokia N9 is a beast of a phone. There’s no question about it. Critics haven’t fully appreciated Nokia N9 as it runs a dead-end operating system of Meego. That shouldn’t take anything away from N9’s amazing photo capturing capabilities and the fastest way it captures images.
Nokia N9’s latency is 2.6 seconds which beats the most popular phone camera on Flickr, iPhone 4. iPhone 4 does it in 3 seconds. Latency is the difference between the time you take your phone out to take a picture to the time the picture is actually taken. Trust me, this makes a lot of difference in capturing the exact moment. It could mean the difference between a bird flying off or missing baby’s first social smile.
Nokia N9 achieves this by continuous auto focus – constantly looking at the object and adjusting the focus. Nokia N9 is equipped with a 8 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens. In addition N9 also has geotagging, dual-LED flash, automatic motion blur reduction, face detection and exposure settings of various types.
Nokia N9 beats iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy 2, LG Optimus and HTC HD7. Simply put, there is no better camera phone out there in the market than Nokia N9.
iPhone 4, as per Flickr’s data, is the best phone out there. It has beat all the professional cameras out there. The other four cameras in the top 5 list are professional cameras – 3 from Cannon and 1 from Nikon. iPhone 4 has beat Nikon D90 only recently. Of course this is just flickr’s data and the overall pictures data would swing it heavily in favor of iPhone 4.
