India’s mobile market is a little too predictable right now. Almost all the major mobile manufacturers have ventured into the tablet space. Videocon is the latest to enter the tablet space with a 7-inch tablet powered by Android 2.3.
The specs, pricing and launch date aren’t out yet. It’s raining tablets in India with the month of June seeing the launches of Blackberry Playbook, Motorola Xoom, HTC Flyer and Huawei’s two tablets. Videocon’s tablet is a welcome addition to our growing list.
What’s different about Videocon’s tablet?
Videocon’s tablet will be powered by Android 2.3. Something few other tablets have failed to do. Most surprising thing or a funny thing, depends on how you look at it, is Videocon has done a survey and found that 7-inch tablet is the most acceptable size of tablet in India.
Surprising because, they have done a survey that no one has bothered to do. Huawei is another lone exception in the way it wanted to come up with Indian content. Funny because, we took the data available and found that 7-inch is in fact the right size for a tablet. But that’s ok. Not everyone has to read this blog.
Speaking of tablets, When is Micromax launching one?
