Steve Jobs, who is a brand by himself, has resigned from the post of CEO of Apple. With this resignation, an era has come to an end. From Apple’s first computer to the recent iPad2, Jobs was in the thick of things. Steve Jobs has recommended Tim Cook for the CEO post. Steve Jobs will be the chairman and will soon be on the board too.
Will Apple be the same without Jobs?
A very hard question to answer. The last time Jobs was out of Apple, the company almost went bankrupt. When Jobs returned, Apple turned into a giant machine that can spin out products people love. Now Apple is the second most valuable company in the US.
Falling from here won’t be easy, but rising from here – especially with the gaping void left by Jobs exit – won’t be easy either. Is this the moment, rivals are waiting for?
