LG Optimus 3D will be in India to show us some 3D goodness. The phone is priced at Rs. 37000 and will be available in September, 2011. LG Optimus 3D provides a glasses free 3D experience and great hardware specifications. It is a beast by itself. When it comes to launching phones equipped with great hardware, LG is ahead of the curve. LG was the first to launch a dual-core phone with LG Optimus X2 and now the 3D smartphone.
Specifications
With a width of 128.8 mm and a weight of 168 grams, Optimus 3D isn’t slick. The phone has a 4.3 inch WVGA 3D display with 480×800 resolution, 5 megapixel rear-camera, 1.3 megapixel front-camera, 512 MB RAM, 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 dual core processor and 8GB memory which can be expanded to 32 GB. 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS with A-GPS, and HDMI connectivity are present.
LG Optimus 3D runs Android 2.2 and I am really not sure why.
LG Optimus 3D is also the first Tri-Dual architecture phone – dual core, dual memory and dual channel. That technically should increase the performance and provide a efficient power usage.
Needless to say, there’s no phone like LG Optimus 3D in the market. In India, tablets from top brands are much cheaper than Optimus 3D. When a phone this hot lands in India, quite a few folks would grab it. None of them will be concerned with the price tag. The rest can wait for a price drop.
