More than newspapers it is comics which should adapt to the tablet and smartphone paradigm. Comics are also best suited for consumption on tablets. Disney has realized this and has launched Disney Comics for iPad and iPhone. The app is free with in-app purchases enabled for individual comics.
Individual comics are priced from $0.99 to $3.99 and are available in the DigiStore section. There are few free comics available under DigiFree section. Once your comic is downloaded it will be available in the My Comics Section. The app is very easy to use and is well suited for an iPad. On iPhone you have to pinch and zoom to read the actual text.
Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory could tell you the difference between comics and comic books. But for the rest of us, Disney Comics would do just fine. If your kid uses your iPad, then Disney Comics is a must have app. [iTunes link]
