Motorola has released a teaser which compares all the tablets from 3200 BC to 2010 AD. It starts with Egyptian Hieroglyphic tablet, which it says, has Good graphics but weight makes for difficult portability and then moves on to other tablets and their fallacies.
Motorola took a dig at iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab at the end of the ad by going to Motorola tablet at the end, which will be released at CES 2011. Late comers have a distinct advantage. They can ridicule and make fun of their predecessors. Any tablet could have made this ad and replaced with their logo. What they should realize is, they exist because of the predecessors. Yet it is a lot of fun though, when companies dig at other company’s products.
Motorola has hinted that its tablet will run Honeycomb OS which is designed for tablets. This is visible when its description for Samsung Galaxy Tab read : “Android OS, but Android OS…for a phone”
As for iPhone, this is what Motorola thinks : “It’s like a giant iPhone, but.. it’s like a giant iPhone” This is what everybody thought about the iPad but since its launch no one has ever said that it is a giant iPhone. Motorola chose to do that. Now it better live up to the hype it created.
Let’s see if Motorola does any better than Apple. Watch this fantastic ad below :
