A news which can as well be a rumor states that ‘popular’ tablet makers Asus, Acer and Dell will quit making Android tablets. It’s quitting Android tablets and not tablets market altogether. Manufacturers might be waiting for Windows 8 operating system.
It took Kindle Fire and Barnes and Noble’s Nook tablet to realize that you can’t really compete in the Android tablet world without the proper arsenal.
Though it sounds like a epiphany from where I am looking at it, it is only a half epiphany. Tablets aren’t born different. They are born equal with consumption as their purpose. iPad and Kindle Fire have proved that.
Microsoft hasn’t forged any real partnerships for content or doesn’t have some of its own. Which makes Windows on tablet just the same as Android on tablets. There is no hard evidence that a Windows Tablet can compete with the likes of iPad and Kindle Fire
