In a not so surprising move, Oppo has decided to launch A37 in India. Oppo A37 was recently launched in Singapore and now the company might be launching it shortly in India.
The news was shared by Mahesh Telecom on its Twitter account. Talking about the phone, the A37 packs a rather old Snapdragon 410 1.2 GHz quad-core chip, 2.5D 5.0-inch IPS LCD HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 4, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory expandable via microSD card up to 128 GB, 8 MP AF rear & 5 MP FF front camera, and runs on Oppo’s own Color OS 3.0 based on Android Lollipop 5.1.
The phone is powered by a 2630 mAh battery and supports all the LTE bands that work in India (Band 3/5/40) while supporting VoLTE. So by now you might also guessed that the phone might not be worth its asking price but there is more to this phone than just its hardware specifications. It doesn’t even feature the fingerprint scanner too!
Oppo A37 has a thin profile measuring 143.1 x 71 x 7.7 mm. It has a unibody Aluminum design which imparts great looks to the phone. It also supports dual SIM too (nano + nano).

Should You Buy It?
Frankly speaking, after going through its hardware details, you needn’t ask this question. The A37 seems like a phone from an older generation which has dared to come into the future. It doesn’t belong to the current mid-range smartphone market.
So if you are looking forward to buying a good phone that you can probably use for the next couple of years and play all the latest games on it then you should stay away from this phone. You alternatives include Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Huawei Honor 5X, Lenovo K4 Note, and Samsung Galaxy J5 2016.
However, we do understand that not everyone is be looking for a power-packed phone. Some want a phone that just works (only the basics apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Chrome, etc.) and has good aesthetics. If you belong to this category then you can buy this phone for its good looks.
