A new smartphone Nokia 6, which has been officially launched in China. Nokia 6 is a mid-range device runs the Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
But it looks like Nokia is working on their own voice-assistance for the upcoming smartphone. A trademark application revealed by GSMinfo, Although it doesn’t completely mention the word virtual assistant, but the description is pretty self-exclamatory.
According to the report, Nokia asking for its trademark to be protected in EU, and it mention this as an assistant which will combine all data source into a single chat and voice-based interface.
The field of Artificial Intelligence is already buzzing with the activity since last year and has got real advancement. With Viki integrated into the smartphone, Nokia could be going up against well-established players like Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana, and Google Assistant. It seems that everyone is working on there own virtual assistant. If a report is to be believed, Samsung too is working on a virtual assistant for its upcoming Galaxy S8.
Personal assistants have added a new level of interactions, where you don’t have to pick or use the smartphone. In all the assistance in the market today, Google Assistant feels quite futuristic. It will be quite interesting to see where Viki stands, Leaks suggest HMD Global will launch 6 to 7 smartphones this year.

The is powered by a 3,000mAh battery and will support Dolby Atmos audio. Priced at RMB 1,699 ( roughly Rs 16,700 ) and is made available only in China.
