Just after a few days of its announcement, Microsoft has launched its first very own Windows smartphone- Microsoft Lumia 535. Yes, Nokia is gone!
A few days back Microsoft had announced that it would drop the Nokia label in favour of its own branding. Lumia 535 is not just the first Microsoft branded Windows phone but also packs a trio of 5’s. It has 5 inch IPS LCD display, and rear and front facing cameras of 5 MP each.

The Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual packs a pixel density of 220 ppi approx. on a 5″ IPS display protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8.1. It will be available in India starting 28 November 2014 at a retail price of Rs. 9,199 only.
Now to make things really tough for its Android competitors, Microsoft Lumia 535 comes with a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core chip and also packs 1 GB of RAM for fluid multi-tasking. It also comes with free OneDrive cloud storage of 15 GB, has 8 GB ROM, and supports micro SD cards up to 128 GB.
Lumia 535 comes with special launch offers for India
To make the Lumia 535 a really attractive phone, Microsoft has announced multiple launch offers for its Indian customers. It comes with free subscription to BoxTV for 2 months, free eBooks from Flipkart worth Rs. 1,500, 150 Rs. monthly extra charge value from Paytm for a period of 4 months, and Rs. 6,000 as discount for purchases made on Jabong via its Windows Phone app.
All Lumia 535 Dual buyers who are currently not using an internet pack on Vodafone will get 1000 MB mobile data for 2 months, divided equally.

The price tag of Rs. 9,199 for a dual SIM smartphone having 5 MP selfie and rear cameras, and a guarantee to receive all OS updates at least till the next year, makes the Microsoft Lumia 535 a really attractive phone.
