Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini Pro now in India

Sony Ericsson’s new Android phones Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini Pro could be heading to Indian shores as early as next week, as per AndoidOS. The phones now have a landing page on Sony Ericsson website and Flipkart as usual has a landing page too with price and an expected ship date in fifth week of July.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro is priced at Rs. 15099. Xperia Mini Pro runs 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Adreno 205 GPU, 512 MB RAM, 3-inch capacitive touch screen with Realty display and Mobile BRAVIA engine, 5 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom and front-facing VGA camera. It plays and records HD videos.  Xperia Mini Pro also has FM radio with recording. It runs Android 2.3.

Along with the touch input, Xperia Mini Pro comes with a full QWERTY keyboard. WiFi, DLNA support, A-GPS and  Bluetooth are on board.

Xperia Mini runs 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512 MB RAM, 3-inch capacitive touch screen with Realty display and Mobile BRAVIA engine, 5 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom. It plays and records HD videos.  Xperia Mini Pro also has FM radio with recording. It runs Android 2.3. Xperia Mini should be slightly lower priced than Xperia Mini Pro.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro vs Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini

Sony Ericsson Xperia mini is a slightly downgraded version of Xperia Mini Pro. If we compare them spec by spec, there are only 2 significant differences. Xperia Mini doesn’t have a front-facing camera thus rendering it incapable for video chats and Xperia Mini Pro has a slightly better talk time than Xperia Mini. An extra camera has actually added 37 gms of extra weight to mini pro.
