Sony Ericsson Txt Pro now in India for Rs. 7500. It’s not Android powered

Sony Ericsson Txt Pro is a touch screen + QWERTY keyboard phone for texting and social networking enthusiasts. The phone costs Rs. 7500 and for a change it is not powered by Android. Sony Ericsson Txt Pro is a Java enabled phone and comes pre-installed with social networking apps like Twitter, Facebook and also Google apps.

Sony Ericsson Txt Pro has a 3 inch TFT capacitive touch screen with 400×240 pixel resolution. It has Bluetooth, WiFi, 3.5 mm audio jack, and 3.2 megapixel camera. 100 MB internal memory is on board and can be expandable to 32 GB with a microSD card. FM Radio is on board but Txt Pro sans 3G. Sony Ericsson Txt Pro’s 1000 mAh battery provides a 400h standby time and 5 hours of talk time. Black and White are the  colors in which the phone is available.

Sony Ericsson has been dormant for a while and the recent phones it has launched are all Android powered phones. Sony Ericsson Txt Pro is a nice deviation from its line of products. Also the phone targets a very niche market of QWERTY touch screen phones which are ever growing.
