Samsung has launched yet another super phone in its Galaxy series called Samsung Galaxy Note. This phone comes with 5.3 inch High definition Super AMOLED display, which is worlds first. Now that’s pretty big a screen on a phone. Good for Samsung, it still called Samsung Galaxy Note, a phone. Dell Streak was another phone which was launched with such a large screen which unfortunately failed to impress. Samsung Galaxy Note has stellar specifications which makes sure that it doesn’t go the Streak route.
Samsung Galaxy Note ~ A tablet with smaller screen or a phone with a big screen?

Take Notes
The biggest selling point of Samsung Galaxy Note is its note taking abilities. The promo video released by Samsung has focused on this aspect for the most part of the video. Galaxy Note’s note taking abilities with the stylus and the way it is integrated with the apps shown in the video are just amazing. Samsung Galaxy Note works as a great cross between a smartphone, Tablet and a notepad. One more step towards a paperless world.
With NFC on board, Samsung Galaxy Note might be the only gadget you would need if you are on the go.
Battery
Samsung Galaxy Note is loaded with a very strong 2500 mAh battery which provides 13 hours of talk time on 2G and 4.6 hours of talk time on 3G. A standby time of 370 hours (3G) to 570 hours(2G) is very impressive too. A fat battery for a beast of a phone. I’m glad that Samsung didn’t skimp on the battery, which probably is the most important and limiting factor in taking a smartphone outdoors.
Price isn’t out yet but don’t expect it to be cheap.
I still have my reservations about large phones as human hands are not big enough to hold them. May be we need yet another evolution to hold these phones. But for Samsung Galaxy Note I wouldn’t mind exercise my hands to just hold it still.
