Microsoft has released the developer version of Mango, WP7’s upcoming release. Developers can download the software, play with, install it on their Windows phones. Developers can also create new apps and submit to Microsoft. Along with the developer tools, Mango brings in a advertising update to let the developers make more money by including the Ad control API.
For students who have some summer left, there are 50 Mango phones to win. Students have to register for DreamSpark and send in sketchflow mock-up of their app and submit their app mock-up. Best entries will stand a chance to win one of the 50 Mango phones.
The developer edition has minimum system requirements of Windows 7 or Vista, 3GB RAM and 4 GB of free disk space. Download the SDK here and the release notes here.
