iPhone 4 is permanently discontinued?

Not that anybody is sweating about the new, or should I say the old iPhone but an interesting piece of news just landed. Airtel and Aircel as we know are offering iPhone 4 exclusively. There is even a 50% off deal for postpaid customers whose bill has crossed 2000 per month. Flipkart which is at the front of all the new launches has a landing page for iPhone 4. At the place where it usually displays the waiting time, it has displayed this : This Item is Permanently discontinued.

Leaving the improper and inappropriate capitalization aside, iPhone 4 being permanently discontinued amazes me.

Is that really true? Or was Flipkart given a notice on not to sell iPhones and the selling rights were exclusively reserved for Aircel and Airtel? If it is the latter then Flipkart should message it properly saying that they are not selling it. Any resolutions for this paradox?
