App : Thomas and Friends – Day of the Diesels comes to iOS for just 99 cents

Thomas and Friends the famous children’s television series from the UK is coming to an iPad near you. The app is developed by Callaway Digital Arts and HIT Entertainment. The app is a third in the series and is available for just 99 cents. $4.99 is its usual price.

Thomas and Friends television series is based on Railway Series written by W.V Awdry and Christopher Awdry. The stories revolve around anthropomorphised trains and vehicles in a fictional Island of Sodor.

The animations on the television series are slick and addictive, not just for kids. Thomas is the lead character in the series with more than 30 characters.

The original series started in 1984 and has 16 series so far. Each series has 20-26 episodes. Two stories  Hero of the Rails and Misty Island Rescue are already on the app store for $4.99

The app is a massive 210 MB download and The Fat Controller is cross about it.

If you are a parent and share an iPad with your kids, then this app is a steal. It’s addictive too. You have been warned.
