ViewSonic will be launching its Android phone which is a 3G dual SIM phone. The price is estimated to be Rs. 17000. Viewsonic V350, is a 3G dual SIM (3G+3G) phone with 3.5 inch HVGA capacitive display, 512 MB RAM and 5 megapixel camera. V350 also has a 3D interface, though we are curious how it would work.
ViewSonic V350 is powered by 600 MHz, single core, Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor. V350 runs Android 2.2, has WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, Assisted GPS and can read up to 32 GB memory via microSD card slot. V350 can record videos in WVGA format.
How does the dual SIM work?
ViewSonic V350’s dual SIM is an active technology which means both the SIM’s work at the same time. You can receive calls and messages from both the numbers without changing any configuration. Also the both the SIM’s can be 3G SIM’s, which will let you enjoy the benefits of two different 3G services.
Spice Mi270 is first Android dual SIM phone and ViewSonic V350 seems to be the first 3G+3G dual SIM phone. For a full list of dual SIM 3G phones available in India, check this list.
ViewSonic cannot be compared with other Android phones as all of them are single SIM phones. If we take of the dual SIM capability from V350, it would be a Rs. 10K phone. A Rs. 7ooo price difference is justified for an extra SIM?
