Smartphones have become an integral part of our daily lives. Gone are the days when smartphones were considered a luxury items. Modern smartphones are capable enough to do a lot of tasks that were traditionally done using computers say image and video editing, high-graphics gaming, etc.
So after much efforts, you’ve selected a phone suiting your needs and within your budget. Congrats!
Now since most of the phones come with a standard set of accessories like travel charger, USB cable, headphones (in India), and a battery, and SIM ejector pin you might want to jazz up your smartphone experience by a little and that would only be possible if you buy some of the much needed accessories as listed below:
-
Phone case
A good quality phone case is something that I would suggest you to always buy on a priority basis. I never use my new phone without a phone case especially designed for that phone.
There are many types of phone cases available in the market like flip covers, silicon case, etc. but I if you are looking for something that would protect your phone not only against scratches but also against shocks then you should go with anything that covers the phone’s back and the sides. Dual layer cases are extremely good at doing this job.
These kinds of covers will cost close to Rs. 500 or more but they are worth it.
2. Tempered Glass Screen Protector
Though you can buy a cheap plastic scratch guard for protecting your phone’s display against scratches that might result from daily usage, I would strongly suggest that you invest in a good quality tempered glass screen protector. You can even buy tempered glass screen protector for as low as Rs. 100 from Amazon or eBay but let me remind you that quality comes at a price.
3. Headphones
In India all phones come with wired headset as it is required by the local law. In other countries it is not mandatory for OEM to bundle a headset with their phones, so as a result we get very low quality headsets with our new phones.
If you are music lover, then would never be satisfied with the quality of music produced by the stock headset. That’s why you should consider buying a good branded headset as soon you get your new phone.
4. MicroSD Card
This sounds obvious to most of you, but my point here is different than what you are thinking.
You might be thinking that you’ll plug your old microSD card that you have been using with your old phone into your brand new phone. There is nothing wrong with doing this, it would recommend using a slow microSD card with your new phone. So, if you are using anything below Class 10, then you should consider buying a new fast microSD card.
5. Power Bank
Irrespective of the type and the size of the battery installed in your smartphone, you will drain it completely sometime or the other. And dead smartphones are as good as a glorified paper weights.
If you really want to make the most of your smartphone then you should consider buying a power bank as well, so you can charge it no matter where you are extend its usage.
These are some of the top 5 most needed accessories that you must buy along with your new smartphone. If you can think of anything more useful please let us know via the comments.
