When iPhone is locked there isn’t much you can do with the phone until you unlock it. There is one actually. If you double tap the home button, it will bring up the music player with which you can play, pause or move on to the next audio track. This feature will extend to few other things in iOS5.
Notifications
Notifications will be displayed on the lock screen and swiping on the respective notifications will take you directly to that section. There could be missed calls, text messages or facebook alerts, once you swipe on the program, it will go directly to that program – Thus reducing one extra hop. Gadget world is abuzz with Android already having this feature.
Camera
On the lock screen when you double tap the home button, it will bring up the camera icon. A picture can be clicked directly with the volume button.
Though subtle changes, these are much appreciated features.
