What would we have done without the apps? Irrespective of what many people think about how apps are being silos and apps are anti-thesis of Web as a whole, apps are here to stay. At least for quite some time. There are 1 million apps already and 40% of them are for iOS. So which are the apps which are most used on iPhone?
When it comes to the most used apps on an iPhone, it doesn’t come as a surprise. Social networking and messaging apps take the top honors. Facebook, WhatsApp, and Twitter take the top 3 spots with Facebook being used by 90% of the iPhone users with a 9MB/month data usage.
Skype, Shazam, eBay, Instagram, Dropbox, Linkedin and Foursquare took the next 7 spots. No surprise here that the top apps are Social Networking, Messaging, Photos and Storage apps.
What about Angry Birds?
An iPhone which doesn’t have Angry Birds on it is like a TV without a cable connection. But Onavo folks have done an intelligent thing. They left the Games out.
I’m sure you use all the 10 apps. If not, which app is not there on your iPhone?
