Commodre 64 which debuted in 1982 is the best selling computer of all time. A total of 12.5 to 17.5 million units were sold. Commodre 64 was priced at $595 when it was launched. Interestingly, it is also the cheapest computer available at that time. Atari 800 and Apple II were the two competitors for Commodre 64 which were sold at $800 and $1200 respectively.
