Nokia has launched its latest entertainment phone – Nokia X7. With a 4-inch AMOLED touch screen, Gorilla glass and a stylish design, Nokia X7 could become its flagship product after Nokia N8. Nokia X7 has many notable features but the most stunning feature is its shape. It has a unique design which should appeal to people who want their phone to be a style statement.
Specifications
Nokia X7 comes with a 4-inch AMOLED screen with 640×360 pixel resolution. 8 megapixel full focus camera with double LED flash offers 720p video recording. X7 comes with a 8 GB memory card and can be upgraded to 32GB. E7’s 1200 mAH battery provides 4.5 hours of tal ktime and 450 hours of standby time on 3G network. Engadget reports that X7 is powered by 628 MHz processor. If true, this will be a big drag as the expectation from a 4-inch screen smartphone would be much higher.
Nokia Ovi Maps which are standard presence on top-end Nokia phones are available on E7. Email, Facebook, Twitter, Galaxy on Fire HD, Asphalt 5 HD are pre-installed apps.
X7 is priced at 380 euros which should come to Rs. 24500. The actual Indian price will be different.
Symbian Anna
Nokia X7 will be one of the first phones to come loaded with Symbian Anna, Nokia’s latest smartphone OS upgrade. N8, C7, C6 and E7 are other phones which will be eligible for Symbian Anna. The new OS version provides a faster browser, improved text input, fresh, new icons and the latest version of Ovi Maps. More.
Finally
Nokia X7 looks like an honest attempt from Nokia to get a bigger piece of the smartphone market. X7 has all the right ingredients –except the processor. With Nokia’s emphasis on app development, many of Nokia’s loyalists should find X7 a compelling buy.
