10 Billion App downloads
Android Market just crossed 10 billion app downloads after hitting the 1 billion mark in July 2010. It is no clocking 1 billion app downloads every month. To celebrate this, Android is offering popular applications for 10 cents each. Go grab’em.
World’s first Android store
Apple’s App Stores are a big success. Apple has opened one megastore in China recently and one in the New York’s Grand Central station which is due to open. Following this model, Android has opened up its first ever app store in Melbourne, Australia. The store is opened by Australian telecom company Telstra and got everyone on-board including Google, Samsung, HTC and LG.
The stores are called AndroidLand and offer to provide rich Android experience.
Slimmest Android Phone
Motorola Razr didn’t have much time to bask in its glory of being the slimmest phone on earth. Fujitsu Arrows F-07D now stole the honors from Razr with 6.7 mm thin body. A 1.4GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 4-inch OLED display and a 5 megapixel camera are wrapped under the 6.7 mm Arrows body.
