Android’s next version of smartphone operating system, Ice Cream, should be out in June/July 2011.Google has resorted to a naming convention by naming the software releases after desserts in alphabetical order. In that Order Honeycomb (2.3) is their latest release which is specifically targeted for tablets. Ice Cream (2.4) is for the smartphones.
Honeycomb is the first siginificant tablet OS after iOS. It is still not clear if Google would run a separate code base for tablets and move to a different naming convention. Anyways, just curious to know what would 2.5 be called as? Jackfruit?

Honeycomb is Android 3.0 not 2.3, 2.3 is Gingerbread.
