Alcatel Android phone for Rs. 3999?

An Android phone is available for Rs. 3999 and that’s not hokum. As per this AndroidOS post, Big Bazaar’s One Mobile stores is listing two Alcatel made Android phones for less than 5K. The cheapest one costs Rs. 3999. Alcatel OT 890 and Alacatel OT 890 D are the two phones which Big Bazaar is selling. If you are developer looking for a test phone to test your apps or if you just want to try out Android then these are the phones you are looking for.

The specs are less than ordinary as both the phones are running 420 MHz processors. Some apps need a minimum of 600MHz processor. Both OT 890 and OT 890 D share the same specs except for two things – 890 D runs Android 2.2 and it supports dual SIM

Alcatel OT-890

Alcatel OT 890 is powered by Android 2.1, has 2.8 inch resistive touch screen, WiFi, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and 150 MB internal storage are on board.

Alcatel OT 890D

Alcatel OT 890 is powered by Android 2.2, has 2.8 inch resistive touch screen, WiFi, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and 150 MB internal storage are on board. 890D supports dual SIM.
