Samsung has entered the QWERTY market with its new phone Samsung Galaxy Pro. This new Android phone from Samsung is launched in the mid-level segment with the price of Rs. 12290. Flipkart is already carrying this phone. Samsung Galaxy Pro is a touch screen and QWERTY phone. Now it joins the list of touch screen and QWERTY phones and should give some tough competition to Motorola and HTC.

Samsung Galaxy Pro is powered by 800 MHz MSM processor, 512 MB RAM, 2 GB internal memory which can be expanded to 32 GB. Galaxy Pro has a 2.8 inch capacitive touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard with four rows.
3 megapixel camera is on board. Galaxy Pro comes with all the connectivity options of GPRS, EDGE, A-GPS, 3G (HSDPA 7.2 Mbps) and Wi-Fi. Galaxy Pro’s 1350 Li-Ion battery provides a talk time of 6 hours and a standby time of 430 hours. on a 3G network.
Samsung has a topped up the Android version with a Touchwiz 3.0. This has been one of the biggest problems for Android and Google is making amends to rectify this. This might not be a pure Android experience but with a little turnarounds, full Android experience can be restored.
LG Optimus One which is a touch screen only phone is the other phone which was a value for money phone. With Galaxy Pro, Samsung is entering the QWERTY market too. The real competitor for Galaxy Pro is Motorola Charm. Both have similar shape, size and features. Samsung Galaxy Pro has a slight edge over Motorola Charm.
