Buy a tablet, get a phone free from Blackberry. We call it the Big Bazaar bug

I never thought I would see this day. In a desperate move to pump up sales, RIM has announced a bumper offer. Buy a Blackberry Playbook tablet and get Blackberry Curve phone free.

RIM is under the impression that it is doing it in the name of Diwali. While we would want RIM to think of it that way, but to be honest, we have never seen an offer like this. Sure there were price cuts but a buy one get one free offer for gadgets? That too buy a tablet and get a phone free offer?

This seems like a desperate move by RIM. HP has gone through a fire sale with its Touch Pad. Even in that sale there is some level of decency involved as the price on the touch pad was slashed.

Who am I to judge about RIM’s decision? If you are the one who are looking for both a phone and a tablet, it can’t get any better than this “buy one get one offer”.

On a different note, the most famous place I have seen these offers is while buying clothes.
