Should You Buy LYF Earth 2?
It is interesting to see 13 MP on the front and that too with LED flash. Currently very few phones in the market have this camera combination. If you are a selfie lover then you would surely appreciate this camera combo.
Another thing to note is that the front camera also doubles up as the retina scanner. LYF Earth 2 is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner which will let you bypass the lock screen with a gentle touch on the fingerprint scanner embedded in the home key. Thus we can call it a phone with dual biometric security.
However, we should keep it in mind that the retina scanning technology is still in its nascent stage so you should rely only on this tech for securing your phone. It would be better if you enable fingerprint scanning along with retina scanning for securing your private data.
If you are thinking that the phone is slightly overpriced for its worth then, yes it is. Other phones with similar hardware are priced close to Rs. 12,000. The only difference that Earth 2 makes is its support for retina scanning. But you still can’t justify the price premium just with the phone hardware.
However, if you take into account the services that you would be getting for free from Jio then the decision to buy this phone will start making sense.
