Anna Hazare is big business to media of all kinds. Looking to cash in on the Anna craze, people are flocking to launch their own versions of Anna movement interpretations. One such impressive interpretation is Angry Anna. The game is developed by Noida based Geek Mentors Studio and is developed using HTML5. Angry Anna is dangerously close to being an addictive game and will suck you right into the Anna mania that is gripping the entire nation.
Angry Anna is inspired by the hugely popular Angry Birds game. That is so obvious but I want to get that off my chest.
The game play is simple. Anna Hazare and his cohorts are trying to get rid of corrupt politicians. The pigs of Angry Birds fame are replaced with politicians and the angry birds are replaced with Angry Anna and Baba Ramdev (a cross-dressed swami would have been more fun).
Twitter and Kiran Bedi are notably missing characters. As for the politicians, the usual suspects are present. I haven’t gone through the levels to see if Rahul Gandhi is on the rocks.
The game has received 44000 game plays in the first 24 hours of the launch and is serving 8000 game plays per hour. Android and iOS version will come soon.
Angry Anna is a fun little game to play on your mobile phone and a browser. India got its Angry Birds version albeit an inspired one. And what a timing to bring the game in.
