Pizza Express in UK has enabled all its 370 branches to accept money via iPhone/Paypal app. Pizza Express has teamed up with Paypal and brought in a iPhone app. The security and getting the monies is covered by Paypal and the pizza is coverd by Pizza Express. Of course you need to have a paypal account and money in it and an appetite for pizza.
Lot of companies are betting big on mobile payments and near field communications. Paypal which doesn’t have much of a competition is the king of online money world. That supremacy is spilling into the mobile world too. Though paypal knows a thing or two about transferring money seamlessly. Yet it seems to have not taken the plunge into mobile money services as it should. With this Pizza Express move Paypal seems to be back in action. Over a million paypal customers have already used their iPhones to pay for pizza.
