Once considered devices that cost an arm and leg, the entry of local vendors in the tablet space has led to cheap tablets entering the market. Now, Lava has taken the price of a tablet to a new low by launching a tablet for just Rs.4,699 and is retailing via Snapdeal with a 1 year warranty. If you consider current exchange rates, Lava E-Tab Velo Plus is available at just $70. With a price like this, Lava E-Tab has taken the place of Wespro ePad as the cheapest tablet in India
Lava E-Tab Velo Plus Specifications
One may not expect a lot from such a cheap tablet but the Lava E-Tab Velo Plus does have some decent specifications. For starters, the tablet has a 7 inch screen and is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Other specifications include a 1 Ghz cortex A8 processor, 512 Mb of RAM, audio/video player, 4 GB of internal memory.
The screen with 800*480 pixel resolution is nothing to write home about but at the price, you can’t ask for much. However, the availability of Wi-Fi and external 3g dongle support does make the device capable of decent connectivity.
At the end of the day, Lava E-Tab Velo Plus will not make a dent in the tablet market but as the cheapest tablet in India, it could corner a good share of the low price tablet market in India
