Spice Mi410 gets Android 2.3 Gingerbread update [unofficially]

Micromax A60 is a re-branded ZTE penguin. Spice Mi410 is a re-branded Huawei Ideos X6. Huawei itself has launched its Ideos series in India. I never really got the launching of re-branded phones. Looks like now I do. Huawei X6 is also Cherry Mobile Magnum HD in Philippines. And Cherry Mobile just got an official Gingerbread update. If you follow the same instructions, you can get Android 2.3 on your Spice Mi410.

AndroidOS has detailed instructions on how to update your Spice mobile. There’s a caveat. Follow the instructions at your own risk. There is a good chance that you get your phone upgraded. There is an equally good chance that you might screw up your phone. Not brick it but just a screw up which might mean some anxious hours and few phone calls. Not recommended for the faint hearted.
