How many of you are guilty of using a mobile phone while watching a movie, during a meeting, in an airplane, on a date or worse while in the loo? I don’t see any hands rising up. Well that’s good news because, using a cell phone during the five mentioned places is supposed to be a faux pas. Not something recommended for a social situation. When we say social, we don’t mean facebook and Twitter. We mean, social as it used to be called (before 2004), like a group of people actually, physically talking and sitting next to each other.
Now we are all well behaved when we are with our mobile phones, which is always, there is a certain section of the crowd which apparently don’t behave all that well. Taiwan mobile handset manufacturer, HTC, has quietly surveyed its facebook phones (~600 of them) to find out their behavior with a mobile phone in a social setting.
