Maxx mobiles, which became famous for their strategic timeouts in the IPL, now launched a strategic phone. Maxx Vista (MS502), a ladies phone. The reason why Maxx Vista is ‘a ladies phone’ and not ‘the ladies phone’ is because we have quite a few ladies phones. Two to be precise. Both launched by Micromax. HTC has also promised to bring out a ladies phone but it is still a rumor.
Maxx Vista comes in three vivid colors of pink, orange and blue. It is a slider phone with QWERTY keypad, 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.5 mm audio jack, Dual sim, video player, FM Radio with recording and music player. Maxx Vista has a 1000 mAh battery which provides 4 hours of talk time. Maxx Vista is priced at Rs. 4242.
Maxx Vista has a dedicated facebook key. Does that make Vista a facebook phone too?
Is there more to ladies phone than pink, orange colors and some studs?
Micromax Bling and Micromax Bling 2 are two phones which were launched in India exclusively for ladies. I don’t have any sales figures but Bling was a phone ladies wanted. It has a unique design and has a wow factor. If all you do is talk, text and listen to music, then these phones are a perfect fit. And the looks are too good to be ignored.
General perception about the phones ladies like is –
Ladies like a phone with the slider or flip. They don’t like bar shaped phones.
Micromax Bling is a slider/zap style phone which rotates by 180 degrees. That factor along with its shape and cuteness did it for Bling. Maxx is following the same footsteps but bettered Bling with its color choice. Vista is a slider phone which comes in three colors. From the looks of it, Vista should be a hot favorite among the ladies.
The mobile phone shelf life is less than 2 years and having a cost effective good looking phone for a year or so isn’t such a bad proposition. In fact, that’s the proposition for many people love. By the time you are finished with Bling there is Bling 2 or Vista.
Mobile phone making have become more like politics.
