An important news just passed on my Google+ stream. Samsung Galaxy SL is getting a Gingerbread update in India. The update is available via Samsung Kies. Open it up and it might actually be waiting for you. We have not confirmed this yet. Leave a comment if the story is indeed true.

Its not a gingerbread update. It is actually a maintenance update. Not sure what it is. I updated it yesterday night. No GINGERBREAD….!!!!!

I was able to update to gingerbread 2.3.5 successfully last night . It has better battery management and quickly locks to GPS.
The only problem is wifi getting disconnected quite frequently but connects back again.
