Google voice-based virtual assistant called Google Assistant will now be available to all Android device running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above. Google Assistant had launched on the Google Allo app, and later on was made available in Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphone. Apart from Pixel device Google Assistant now has made its way to LG’s new G6 as well. Here is a list of phone which will support Google Assistant.
With Google Assistant you can talk to your phone in a conversational way, you can ask any question about the weather, flight information and appointments. The Assistant could even control your smart home. There has been an improvement on the previous voice search feature and now its more capable of doing other things. The biggest improvement for Android users will be that now they can call up on assistant by just long-pressing the home button and need not search for microphone button.
Google said rollout will start soon may be by this week to the device running Android Marshmallow or above. This update will be available to all English users in the US followed by Australia, Canada and the UK. Google Assistant will also be available in the German language.
Google Assistant was the biggest development from Google in the field of Artificial intelligence. But this feature was not made available to everyone and was limited to smartphone and devices.
