Samsung has revealed that it is soon going to launch a new phone (tablet?)in the Samsung galaxy note series, ‘Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1’. This super-sized tablet phone was first showcased by Samsung in February in the World Mobile Congress. The company has not yet revealed the exact release date of the phone in India , but it has already been launched in Germany & UAE sources said that it would be available globally later this month.
The stylish phone will run on the Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and houses a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor. The Android platform, which is a craze among mobile users these days, will help the phone in running applications in a better way. The company has included a 2 GB RAM in the phone to make it functioning faster. It is powered by a Li-ion 7000 mAh battery. The phone will have both 2G and 3G connectivity.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 weighs 600g and has a multi touch TFT capacitive touchscreen. The phone comes in 16 GB, 32 Gb and 64 GB internal memory variants. However, the memory of all the models is expandable to 64 GB using a microSD card.
The phone is truly designed to make full use of the Samsung S-Pen Stylus which lets the users write or draw on the screen of the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a 10.1 inch screen, which is large enough to be considered a notepad, virtually. With the S note app and the Adobe Photoshop Touch pre-loaded in the phone, users can fully utilize the potential of the S Pen Stylus.
The phone has two cameras. The primary camera of the phone is a 5 MP camera with autofocus and a LED flash. It is supported by the Geo-tagging feature which lets you tag your location to the pictures. The secondary camera of the phone is a 1.9 MP camera. The phone comes with a image and video editor which allows you to impart your desired effects to the images and the videos.
The phone also has several applications to make it a truly multi-tasking device. The device has the ability to run two apps side by side, and even to view two apps on the screen at a time. A standout feature that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has is the Smart Stay, which tracks the user’s eyes and makes sure that the backlight does not goes off as long as the user is looking at the screen (that’s truly an awesome feature).
Another application that improves its multitasking capabilities is the Pop up Play, which lets videos to be streamed anywhere on the screen while other tasks are being done. The giant screen of the phone ensures that these features do not affect the usability of the phone.
The price of the phone is not yet released, but whatever it will be, it will surely be worth it given the awesome features of the phone.
